it's a Poplar Hawk Moth, and will have a wing-span of 9cm. That's quite scary, actually!

He is being boring at the moment. I wish Spring would hurry up and get here so I can watch him emerge!I saw my first hummingbird HM in Devon this summer, exploring a HUGE lavender bush in Phil's garden. I mean the moth was exploring, not me.
